Sanjay Dutt’s tribute to legendary actor Pran

No one was surprised when Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was roped in to play Sher Khan in ‘Zanjeer’ remake. He replaced Arjun Rampal and Sonu Sood to get this opportunity.
Late veteran actor Pran got rave reviews from the critics and the audiences alike for his awe-inspiring performance in the 1973 blockbuster. The movie also marked a new trend set by versatile Pran in bad guy-turns-good concept.
Sanjay Dutt was also aware about the significance of the character. Thus, he left no stone unturned by following a complete makeover. He not only shed weight but also done face uplift to look younger.
According to producer, even Pran saab was also very happy that Sanjay Dutt did the role. However, to Sanjay’s dismay, the veteran couldn’t see his performance in the film.
And now, with the launch of Zanjeer’s khochey pathan quwaali, Sanjay Dutt has paid a homage to the late actor.
Similar to ‘Yaari Hai Iman..’ of old Zanjeer, the new song features Telugu star Ram Charan and Sanjay Dutt in celebration mood. Following Pran’s style, Dutt in pathani suit and surma-clad eyes with French beard stands out not only in the song but in the movie also.
Sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Shabab Sabri & Meet Bros Anjjan, the quwaali song is started liking by his fans.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Zanjeer is set to be released on September 6.
